is there any days that the changing of the guard will be more crowded then others? thank you for your help.

How early is early? Will the crowds be too much for a 4 and 6 year old? Appreciating the fact that you do not know my children but generally speaking? Thank you

I think the changing of the guards at Buckinham Palace might seem a bit dry and remote to them, but if you take them to Whitehall to watch the smaller version of it at Horseguards Parade, they'll enjoy it more. They can get right up close to the mounted guards and have their picture taken with them. If the weather is nice you can walk through the arches and into St. James park to see the Pelicans and have a little picnic in the park.
