Travelling from Gatwick to Euston Road

I have to go to a conference on a Tuesday and from the time the plane is due to land and the start of the conference is 2 hours. Can this be done easily from Gatwick to Euston Road or would i be better flying int he day before? I'm assuming the easiest route is the FCC train from Gatwick to St Pancreas? I hate travelling. full stop, panic attacks so looking for easiest route possible. Would it be better flying to Heathrow?

Only if going via the bile duct - it's St Pancras - otherwise it's straight through the StP from Gatwick, then turn right out of the station past the British Library (nice place to pop into if have any spare time)

But 2 hours is a bit tight - it'a about an hour from LGW to StP plus whatever time you spend wandering through Gatwick / buying train tickets / waiting for a train with space. Add on 10-20 minutes for whereever on Euston Road and you have little free time

If everything runs to plan, then two hours is fine. Of course, anything relating to transport goes wrong from time to time, so if your "on time" arrival is essential then I would suggest arriving the evening before.

Although Gatwick is further from central London, the fast/direct train to St Pancras (which is on the Euston Road) means that Gatwick is a better choice for your journey than Heathrow. The £10 train ticket is a lot cheaper than the Heathrow Express cost too!

In terms of stress - don't stress - the train journey is easy. At the station look for the FCC train heading for Bedford. All those trains go via St P, so it's very simple. However, in the weekday morning rush hour the trains will be very very full.
