Show Wicked suitable for two girls (4 and 6)

Would the show Wicked, which we have heard nothing but good things about be suitable for two young girls aged 4 and 6? If the green witch is a little too much what other shows would people recommend for them? Thank you in advance. Have a great day.

No, I don't think so. I think most of it will go over their head.

Even the official website advises the show is recommended for 8 year olds and up.

You are better off looking at shows like Matilda and Charlie & the Chocolate factory if you want a west end production. Otherwise there are several theatres that do shows pitched at kids.

Matilda and Charlie and the chocolate factory would make more sense I think. Thank you

DD is 5 and really enjoyed Wicked, but prefered Matilda.

Wicked is really good. Don't have children ourselves but in my opinion it would be fine for them both. No swears or scarey moments

Why not look into childrens entertainment in particular?

Often little ones are not able to sit still through plays without asking lots of questions and annoying other theater goers. Time out might be a good source for such entertainment. In NYC many plays specifically ask you not to bring kids 4 and under.

There is also outdoor theater in one of the major parks in the summer, I know they are doing sound of music in August.

Not unless they are used to sitting in a theatre for a couple of hours or more. Probably a waste of money for most 4 year olds.

I don't think they would enjoy I either, it really isn't a children's story

Maybe consider We're Going on a Bear Hunt at the Lyric Theatre.
