Ask Pizza

I heard very good reports about Pizza Express but nothing about Ask Pizza... Does it still exist ? Does Ask Pizza is as much good Pizza Express ?

Thank you for your reply.

1. Re: Ask Pizza

I would always choose an ASK restaurant over a Pizza Express. They seem more up-market to me, but perhaps that's because they are generally in nicer buildings and are better decorated. Also, I think of ASK as an Italian restaurant with pizza, while Pizza Express is a pizza joint with a couple of other pasta dishes.

Ask is thriving - has a new branch on SouthBank.

Has more pasta on menu than Pizza Express.

Went to an Ask Pizza near Pic Circus twice during May trip - wonderful both times - and one of the only (inexpensive) places to dine after a theatre or cabaret evening. Pizza was great, but the Ask salad was tremendous!

I too would choose Ask over Pizza Express!

I prefer the pizzas at Pizza Express over ASK. There's more pasta choices at ASK though but I've found it a bit too greasy.

Salads are better at Ask, sadly salads at Pizza Express somewhat of an afterthought.

I had never heard of ASK until we stumbled across one on our recent trip to London - I don't think we have them in Scotland. The pizzas were great - definitely give them a go.

Well thank you very much for all your replies. I have try Ask on a previous trip in London (summer 2000 and 2003) but since I never read anything about the place and read alot about Pizza Express, I thought Ask may be closed.

Well, I am glad it is still there. :-)

for decent pizza, and more authentic, you ought to try Strada, handstretched, wood brining ovens. They have a number of outlets in London, and now Brighton (naturally!)
