London to France or Scotland/Ireland

Hello all!

This is urgent because I am in such a last minute dilemma. Your help would mean the world to me.

I would be in London from the 24th October to 1st of November. Before flying back to Singapore, I would love to take a short side trip to another country. At first I was dead set on Paris, but I was looking at the train fares and it's unreal on the 1st of Nov.

Now, I am contemplating if I should just take a train up to Scotland then to Ireland (all over 3.5 days) before flying back to SG.

OR just choose 1 and fly back from Dublin or Glasgow/Edinburg?

I really don't have a preference now really, budget is my concern. I am also a photographer. Which plan would you think be the best and most worth the adventure?

Lots of love from Singapore :)

London to Scotland by Virgin Pendolino is a good idea, check fares though http://www.virgintrains.co.uk/trains/
