So our trip is upon us and we are leaving Sunday evening from the U.S. I just have a few more things I am trying to iron out so advice is much appreciate it.
We arrive during the noon hour at London Heathrow on September 30th. We are staying at the Lancaster Gate Hotel. I have decided to take the Heathrow Connect due to cost effectiveness, however I do understand that your CANNOT use a Oyster card on this route.
1. Am I able to buy my Heathrow connect tickets there at the station or would you suggest I buy them online and pick them up at the station? I can also buy an Oyster Card Separately to use when we get to Paddington Station?
2. Once we arrive to Paddington Station would you suggest to walk to our hotel ( Lancaster Gate Hotel) or take the Central Line from Paddington to Bayswater and walk from there? I have mapped out the walk and it's about 10 minutes or so from Paddington. I am looking for the easiest route. We have one checked bag, one carry on that we are bringing.
3. I am looking at booking a show for Thursday evening Oct 3rd and I have found many ticket sites. I am torn between a few shows like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Jersey Boys, and Wicked. Is one any better than the other or preferred?
4. Are street signs well labeled where you can tell the name of the street in which you are on? I know weird question, but I know sometimes I have encountered where street names are not well labeled or missing once in a while.
TA has been great and I am very excited about our upcoming trip. Thank you all for all the suggestions and help!
Have a wonderful day!
