Covent Garden or British Museum - Pubs with rooms?

Hi Guys

I was wondering if anyone knew of any pubs or restaurants with accommodation close to Covent Garden or the British Museum?

Thanks

I'm afraid the traditional pub, or Inn, with accomodation, is a very rare thing in London.

These are about as close as you will get;

But to be honest I would look for hotels which fit your budget instead.

Yes, I think that centrally located pubs are just not big enough to compete with the hotels so capitalise instead on using their space to sell more drinks/food, and there are some budget hotels near enough to central London, Premier Inns or Easyhotels are a good option, and you don't have to be right next to the British Museum or Covent Garden if you are interested in those locations because the tube will whisk you there in no time at all.

I second fleet river rooms. There is a pub directly across the street, the Holborn station is just 1 minute away and the British Museum is in walking distance. The breakfast is very nice too : )

The rooms at the Harrison are actually very nice (apart from my inability to fathom out how the shower worked!) and the food was decent as well.

Travelodge Covent Garden, close to both Covent Garden and British Museum.

1 minute from St James Tube Station is Sanctuary House Hotel, 34 quite nice rooms, owned by Fullers and located over one of their pubs. We stayed in May and loved it. They also have The Mad Hatter Hotel

3-7 Stamford Street in Southwark, The Wellington opposite Waterloo Station and The Chamberlain near Tower Bridge...all above Fullers pubs.

A second for the sanctuary on petty France - it's near Westminster and st James park tube and attached to a perfectly pleasant (albeit bit bland) pub. Generally this is where my dad stays when in business in London and recommends it.
