Travelcard photo

To buy a 7-day Travelcard issued by National Rail, I understand it requires a passport sized photo.

But, does the photo need to be passport quality, or can I simply take any 3X5 or 4X6 photo and cut it down to passport photo size?

Also, does it need to be in color, or can it be in black-and-white?

They do not have to be passport quality, and you can print them out DIY style at home. If you have a digital camera and printer you can use the following guide from TexScott - https:/…

Agreed, but there have been examples -- see other posts - where individual ticket clerks have rejected home-made photos. A reasonable photocopy of your passport photo should suffice.

I know this is an old post but I have an add on question. Does the photocopy have to be on photo paper or is it acceptable to photocopy your passport picture on regular paper?
