Help planning day trip from Euston Station

Hi hoping someone can give us a quick itinerary of how to start our trip from Euston.

I was thinking from the station grab a bite to eat / coffee, then to Covent Garden to shop around. Then on to Trafalgar Square and into the National museum. Then onto Buckingham Palace and the Houses of Parliament, and then to the Thames and London Eye before heading on our way back (not sure what else to see closeby).

We have about 7 hours.

Any suggestions / thoughts on this?

Assuming this is sometime soon, do it in reverse to your order, it gets dark early so start with London Eye whilst queues are shortest, then across river to Westminster etc, then rest of sites, and finish up at shops at CG when it doesn't matter if its dark, also means you are nearer the station when its time to head back.

p.s. also means you arent lugging shopping around all day.

What's the best way to get from Euston to London Eye?

Best way (assuming you are doing this before Jan 2nd) is to get the Northern line (Charing Cross branch) from EUston to Embankment. And then walk across Millenium Bridge to the Eye. If after Jan 2nd get the tube to Waterloo.

From Euston I would take the Victoria line to Green Park. Change there to the Jubilee line to Westminster, alight and use the Bridge Street way out. Pause to admire the view then walk across Westminster Bridge to the Eye.

Not really sure why I bothered taking the time to suggest an itinerary yesterday in your other thread.

JDBRI, probably because the OP now isn't travelling from Victoria any more and seems confused by the tube and wants baby steps to get there.

Mr R once you are there the tube will be very straightforward it's much easier in practice than theory If people from Japan and China whose written language is totally alien to ours can get around on it I'm sure someone from Birmingham can cope :-)

Yes, but it would seem wise to build and adapt on what has already been achieved especially, as you point out, the OP seems somewhat lacking in confidence.

The Millennium Bridge isn't anywhere near Embankment station. You mean the Golden Jubilee Bridges.
