Achievable in an afternoon?

Staying at the Palace Strand and looking at the map this seems a reasonable walking itinery for an afternoon (weather permitting).

Walk from Stand to London Eye (have a spin), then walk to House of Parliament. Along Birdcage Walk to Buckingham Palace, then walk along The Mall to Trafalgar Square/Picadilly Circus area.?

Any other suggestions, enhancements?

It's definitely walkable in the afternoon - the questions comes down to what do you want to do along the way, how long do you want to stop at things for and what are they? (i.e. a parliament tour adds a fair bit of time)
