How much would this trip cost? Hampton Court trip

Visiting Hampton Court Flower Show in July. Plan to catch the 111 bus from Heathrow to the flower show . Return journey will be train from Hampton Court Station to Waterloo and then tube from the Waterloo tube station to Liverpool St Station. Thereafter we will catch a train to north of England.

Not sure whether we should just pay by cash. I believe we will be travelling at peak time so bus should be only £2.40 but we are struggling to work out cost of return journey. Will return trip be classed as a single trip if we pay by cash ie. £5.70 peak rate Hampton Court to Liverpool St. or will we have to pay separately for the train part and the underground Waterloo to Liverpool St part?ie. £5.70 plus £4.70 peak. Not sure if it is worth the bother of buying an oyster card and having to get a refund at end. If we decide on an oyster card how much should we put on it to cover the journeys?

I don't know how much it will cost but I'm sure you can buy a single ticket that will cover the whole journey to Liverpool st.

If you are travelling on Saturday or Sunday, or after 09.30 on a weekday, off-peak travelcards will be valid for all these journeys, so buy an £8.90 zones 1-6 travelcard from the Underground Station at Heathrow Airport, then go upstairs to catch your bus.

If you are leaving Heathrow before 09.30 Monday-Friday you won't be able to get an off-peak travelcard, so pay the cash fare on the bus and buy the one-day travelcards at Hampton Court station for the rest.

'train to north of England' trains from Liverpool St station generally serve the East of England, can you confirm where you are travelling to please - just in case :-)

we are stopping off for a few days in Norwich , then off further up north so will be using London Liverpool St station. We will probably leave HCP after 4.30pm so that means we will be paying peak rate tickets for this journey also.

But, as said above, you can buy a ticket from Hampton Court to Norwich which will include your Tube fare. Don't worry trying to work out all the different fares.
