Judging by the responses that another question on foie gras got, expect to get a bit of "stick" for asking this.

Extremely good brasserie just off Piccadilly Circus: www.brasseriezedel.com

At one point, Club Gascon used to serve foie gras. You'll have to check their menus to see if they still do. www.clubgascon.com

Koffmans serves the cuisine of SW France and is very comfortable, but hardly a family bistro. It is however headed by Pierre Koffman, a chef who used to have 3 Michelin stars.

Should have said, Sw France is where the foie gras comes from!

Mon Plaisir in Monmouth Street claims to be the oldest french restaurant in London.

Le Gavroche is family owned, and quite small and cosy. Not sure if it has terrine , if it serves FG then more likely to be 'entire' than terrine.

Brasserie Zedel is not small and cosy but has an excellent quality to price ratio IMO.

La Trompette in Chiswick is well thought of.

Pied a Terre in Charlotte Street serves FG but the style changes with the seasons. Not really cosy though.

Not sure if they have Foie Gras but our favorite French restaurant is OTTO's on Gray's Inn Road. Cant wait for our upcoming vacation to eat here again

La Trompette. Can't understand why they didn't get a second star at the recent awards.
