Quick Tube interchange question

Heathrow to Highgate.

Change at Leicester Square?

Change at Kings X?

Stay on to Holloway Road and take a bus?

What would be the best for three people with rolling bags? Ideal: avoiding multiple staircases and extremely long hallways. I hate those transfers where you have to go down and then up and then down again.

I'd change at Kings Cross. It can be step free although the most direct and fastest change involves 19 stairs down (about 6' in elevation).

Leicester Square has everything you don't want (lots of stairs and long walkways) and it's a pokey and crowded station.

There is a step free exit (only) involving escalators and ramps at Highgate onto Archway Road East.

There is a walk of about 400m from the Piccadilly line platforms to the Northern line platforms. It is the most straightforward, though, as if you were to change to the Victoria line at Green Park (up the escalator and down another) then change to the Northern line at Warren Street or Euston you would have the up stairs and down stairs plus a walk on the flat you would like to avoid.
