Hotels for Heathrow terminal 3, travelling by tube

Can anyone suggest good quality budget hotels with easy access to terminal 3? We will be travelling by train to London St Pancras, then tube through Piccadilly the previous evening. We will have a 7.30am check in and lots of luggage. Many thanks.

I would consider soemwhere relatively near, maybe Hatton Cross (there is a Jury's hotel there, or Earls Court, plenty of hotel choice there, and then get a car service or the tube in that morning, depending how you can handle your luggage.

There is little if any advantage going to a "heathrow" hotel as it can take just about as long on the hotel shuttle from there to T3 as by tube from further out.

Sensible advice from Joe with the proviso that you are travelling to the airport on Sunday morning you will have to book a car service as the first tubes won't leave central London until well after you need to.

You could even stay within walking distance of St Pancras and take the Piccadilly line the next morning. The journey won' take more than one hour. If you need some suggestions then please let us know a budget figure.

Thanks for your advice Joe and Adam. We will be travelling mid week in April. Jury's hotel looks good possibility. We had thought about staying near St Pancras. Have had a couple of reasonable overnight stays at Central Kings Cross Travel Lodge. Its a very convenient location and good range of places to eat nearby. But think I would prefer to be closer to Heathrow. Will have a look round Earls Court too. Ideal budget is less than £80, so Jurys Inn currently within budget at £71 and Travel Lodge above it at £105

With that low a budget (if the Travelodge is priced at £105 then goodness knows what somewhere decent in the area is charging) Jurys makes the most sense considering it's a far far nicer hotel.

The only downside is that your evening eating options are limited to the hotel (not bad but hotel prices) or the Green Man pub, a ten minute walk away - johnbarras.com/pub/green-man-bedfont/c0445/

That Travel lodge is usually a lot less than £105, so guess it must be almost full on the night we want. Realise my budget is low - I live in Yorkshire! Thanks for the Green Man pub link. Think I'll go ahead with Jurys Inn. Thanks for your help.
