4 Budgets Best area for restaurants and bars?

For 4 nights in early September the wife and I have narrowed our search to these 4 hotels. Which one will have more choices for good restaurants and bars within a 5 to 10 minute walk?

The Morgan (Bloomsbury);

Luna Simone (Victoria);

Darlington Hyde Park (Paddington);

Premier Inn London County Hall (not sure what this area is called).

For pubs and restaurants, Bloomsbury probably offers the best selection

I wouldn't call any of those areas "budget". You can eat and drink reasonably in a variety of parts of London but it is more difficult in zone 1. Places like Camden, Hoxton and Brixton are all in zone 2 and will offer you better options for fashionable and cheaper bars and restaurants. You will still only be 10 minutes away from central London on the tube.

Currently posh burger restaurants are the rage in London and are generally very reasonable. The Byron brand Is good. Meat Liquor is a trendy restaurant and dive bar that is central and cheap.

The Time Out website lists a huge number of "cheap eats" where you will be able to have an excellent meal.

The Morgan and PI give you the best area for restaurants & bars. Bloomsbury and the South Bank are both teeming with cafes and restaurants, and both are an easy walk to Covent Garden as well.

As theartgirl says there are tons of places at all those locations. You can also search by area for offers on toptable.
