Hi we will be staying in Waterloo for 4 nights and I would love some recommendations for restaurants preferably ones that are not expensive. Thanks

What kind of food do you like? What is your actual budget (in ££)? There are loads of restaurants in the South Bank are (and across Waterloo Bridge in Covent Garden) to suit all tastes and budgets. Have a look here for starters, and give us some more info so that we can recommend something that we think you'll enjoy:

Another vote for theartgirl's suggestion of South Bank Centre. You might also want to try The Cut, a street near Waterloo station running to Southwark Street, which has many good restaurants. Taz is particularly good for Turkish and Indian food.

There are many inexpensive eateries in Lower Marsh at the back of the station. There are many different cuisines on offer and a couple of OK pubs.

It's covered in TexScott's article, but FishCotheque does a very good fish and chips.

We will eat pretty much anything . The only food I'm not a big fan of is Indian . We are hopeless when it comes to picking restaurants so when we are going on vacation I really like to get recommendations . Thanks

Have a look at Azzurro, just across from Waterloo Station. Also Locale is nearby, just by the Marriott County Hall on Belvedere Road.
