London 24 hours hotel accessible to Heathrowe

Hello!

I am going to be in London arriving at Heathrowe for 24 hours in June. It will be a stopover on my way home from Paris, going back to the U.S.

I will be traveling with my 16 year old daughter, thinking shopping would be the most fun (but open to suggestions!).

Can someone recommend a general location or hotel that is a non stop ride on the tube from Heathrowe? Or other wonderful ideas?

Please let us know the dates you will be travelling in June, as planned works on the Underground could have an impact on your short time in London. Let us know the airline(s) with which you've booked, and the time of the departing flight as well. Please let us know your budget in pounds for a hotel; use www.xe.com to calculate the exchange rate.

Thank you so much. We arrive at Heathrowe 6 pm , British Air, depart from same next day at 6 pm ,roughly, for the States.

150 pounds or so.

Oxford Street area too hard to manage?

Leave bags at hotel then take the tube? Bus? Taxi?

Thank you! Ive never done this, it's sweet.

Thanks. Your flights are with British Airways, as British air is what you will breathe when in London.

The dates you will be in London is crucial, not only for hotel availability but for checking Underground services. There are a handful of Premier Inns, good quality mid range hotels, with availability throughout the month and rates within your budget, but the date does matter. Most PIs will store bags, which will be handy for you as well.

Let us know more, please.

Have a look at Jury's Inn...very close (walking distance) to Hatton Cross tube station and only a short tube journey (or taxi) 10-15 mns from the airport terminals. Gives you a direct route into the centre of London on the Piccadilly line.

I wouldn't stay at Jury's Inn or any Heathrow hotel for this. You want to go into London, overnight there, sightsee and come back to LHR for your flight.

As TP requests, your DATE of arrival and departure is important re hotel availability and also potential engineering works (even if the Piccadilly line is running it may affect other lines and the choice of hotel).
