Hotel for a family with 3 kids?

Just wondering if a family with 3 kids can stay in a typical hotel room in London? We've travelled extensively in the US and we just typically book online. Many travel/hotel sites will only let you put in 2 children, so that's what we do. We've never had a problem showing up with 3 kids. Our kids are small so we can easily fit in a room with 2 double beds. Can we do this in London or will they actually not allow 3 children in a room?

If not, do you have any suggestions for a hotel that can accommodate 3 kids in one room? We will be traveling in late August. I know the rooms in London are typically small, but pretty much all we do in our room is sleep & shower.

Good luck finding any room with two double beds in it! Different culture, different norms.

Search the forum for rooms for five. This has been discussed before and there is a a website that lists the possibilities.

If you book for two children but turn up with three you will almost certainly be turned away because most hotels have fire regulations which specify the maximum number of occupants of a room.

It partly depends on the age of the children. If any of them are young enough to sleep in a cot, or at least a child-size bed, then it's a bit easier.

I'd suggest that you make a shortlist of possible places and make some phonecalls .. internet bookings often arent' very clear about availability of family rooms.
