Tube or Heathrow express from Heathrow to Piccadilly Circus

Trying to find out the difference in time and money between taking the tube or Heathrow express between LHR and Piccadilly Circus or Knightsbridge? Since Knightsbridge is on the same line as Piccadilly Circus I think it will be the same time/price. But since it looks like Piccadilly line goes all the way to Heathrow it seams a lot easier???

No contest, Piccadilly line.

No changes, same time, far cheaper.

If you take the HEX you still have to take the tube anyway.

Tube (Piccadilly line). Never mind that it is much cheaper, it is also much more direct.

HEX doesn't go to Piccadilly Circus or Knightsbridge; it only goes to Paddington.

Both Knightsbridge and Piccadilly Circus stations have stairs from the train platforms to the ticket halls and street level. Both are also very busy stations.

Depending on your destination, the better options may be Green Park or Hyde Park Corner. The former has escalators to the ticket hall and a lift to street level; the latter has an escalator to the ticket hall and ramps up to street level at exit 1 (Knightsbridge north side) and exit 4 (Knightsbridge south side).

Taking the HEX would add time to the journey and remove a great deal of money from your pocket.

Thank you everyone.... So if I take the Piccadilly line and have luggage and need to go to the Park Tower Knightsbridge Hotel, which is the best tube stop? The address is 101 Knightsbridge

The hotels website says its one minutes walk from Knightsbridge tube station.

So use that unless you have luggage you can't handle up stairs in which case get off at hyde park and walk for 5 minutes.
