London tour by tube & bus or hopon-hopoff better?

We are family of four (including children aged 12 & 9 yrs) planning london tour in first week of june, for 3 days. Which one will be better option - using travel card or utilising hopon - hopoff bus service? are the tourist places near to tube stations?

. The hoponhopoff bus is basically a tour bus - it isn't point to point transport. And it's expensive

So consider using it on your first day to get an overview of the city and then use travelcards to go back and explore in greater depth on the tube and normal buses

There is nowhere (in central London) that isn't 'near' a tube station
