New Bridge St. London

I'll be traveling with my sister and 16 year old niece - Is this a good area to stay - access to sightseeing (coming into London via Chunnel from Paris and flying out of Gatwick.

Yes, very central.

Minor detail. No one in the UK says 'Chunnel'.

Looks good for access - Blackfriars station is just off New bridge Street and is very easy to get to from St Pancras and to get to Gatwick from

It's called the Eurostar train.

Pretty good and central. More in the business district than where hotels are thick on the ground, but with the Thames, St Paul's, Old Bailey all very close.

From Eurostar arrivals at St Pancras turn right and walk to the north end of the station for the domestic train platforms. Take a First Captial Connect train to Blackfriars station for a quick trip to your hotel, which I suspect is the Crowne Plaza City of London. You may take another First Capital Connect train from Blackfriars to Gatwick on departure, very handy.

Buses are an excellent alternative to the Underground from the Blackfriars and Ludgate Circus area: …tfl.gov.uk/gettingaround/maps/buses/pdf/bla…
