Twickenham Stadium

Hi - we are going to stay at the Park Inn by Radisson at Heathrow Airport - and we want to know how we easy can get to Twickenham Stadium - and maybe also the cheapest way ? Is it cheap to take a taxi or not ... ?

Take an 81 or 222 bus to Hounslow Bus Station then a 281 to the Stadium*. You will need an Oyster Card or some form of travelcard as London's buses do not have cash fares.

* you will need a different route on a matchday as buses are diverted away from the vicinity of the Stadium due to the crowds.

Better route would be 285 Bus from bath Road to Hatton Cross underground Station.

490 Bus from there to Twickenham, about 30 - 45 Minutes.

The 490 won't be diverted but there will be a 10 - 15 Minutes walk at Twickenham.

Thank you both very much - what about train / tube - is that not possible - from the airport I think ?

I believe taxi will be too expensive, or what do you think ?

Pre booked car would be cheaper than taxi (maybe £30?) but I don't know how close they will be able to get to the stadium.

The fastest tube/ train route would take about 30 minutes more and involve at least three changes by the time you take into account the journey from hotel to airport tube station.
