At least a couple of days will be spent in London that are dedicated to shopping. Wife already noted Selfridges, Harrods and Burberry outlet amongst others. Over the weekend I happened across the Wikipedia entries for the first two and noticed the Dress Code at Harrods. More importantly, I noticed the instances that Wiki reported on in which potential customers were turned away at the door without reason.
I have never been turned away from anything in my life. But I went onto Harrods website and drilled down to where the dress code was stated, and vague isn't acceptable. I've sent an email to Harrods (received acknowledgement), but waiting for a formal reply. If I buy (pun intended) into the Wiki information regarding the 15 stone woman and those who sweat excessively, I am doomed.
Wishing to avoid any embarrassing moments at the door, I have explained my weight and health condition, but if I am unwanted I'd rather know in advance and focus on those competitors that don't frown on the health and medical conditions of people. Anyone have any bad experiences in not being granted access, or being removed, from Harrods?
BTW, I am 19 stone and due to heart medication can perspire in the presence of melting arctic glaciers.
