London EGX Eurogamer help.

So i'm coming down to London in september for the EGX London (Eurogamer) expo.

It's at earls court and I was looking for some help and any ideas people may have in general.

Recommendations on cheap hotels?

I would be looking for something in the local area just for a place to sleep each night so nothing fancy. This would be to save on having to spend money on public transport. I don't mind a short walk. For a few night I don't want to have to pay over £200-£250 but if I have to then i guess I will.

Places to eat?

I'll be meeting friends down there and eating so is there any good places to eat and get drinks from that you would recommend?

What to do?

Is there anything near by as I have a spare day to kill and if theres any attractions that are worth going to. something usual. I've done the normal touristy stuff in the past.

Cheers in advance.

Earls Court is packed with budget hotels and cheap (mainly chain) restaurants but before I suggest anywhere can I ask if that budget figure is per night (in which case pretty much every hotel in the area is open to you) or for your total stay? If it's the later then how many nights?

So looking at the budget now. Probably somewhere of the region of £300 - £350 for 3nights

Your budget should be OK if you book a Premier Inn, Ibis, Travelodge etc. September is not far away so I would get on it pretty quickly.

There are also hundreds of budget hotels in the EC area but I dont know anything about those, hopefully someone will chip in with info.
