Best website to book trains toFrench Riviera

As the title suggests, what would you recommend as the best website to purchase online train tickets to the south of France from London. Cheapest prices, no booking fees, no credit/debit card fees, ease of navigation is what I'm looking for. Any suggestions?

Fly Easijet to Nice from Stanstead. From Nice you get trains to most of the resorts along the Riviera. That's what we did this year when we 'did' the Monaco grand prix.Easy peesy!

The Eurostar site. Though for that distance I'd fly.

www.eurostar.com - there is a credit card fee £4 I believe but no fee for using a debit card. You can print-at-home or collect tickets from St Pancras International station in London.

Thanks, juka and rcspeirs. I'm flying from Melbourne, so I'll be sick of seeing the inside of an aircraft after flying 12,000 miles. I want to enjoy relaxing in high speed trains and see some countryside out of big windows.

So, my question still stands.

Presumably you are spending some days in London before this trip?

Otherwise, the obvious thing would be to fly to the actual area you want to go to. If you are staying in London first and don't wish to fly, then book tickets on the Eurostar website.

Spot on, Cornc0b. We have eleven days in London prior to heading to the Riviera.

Just checking that you're aware. There are no direct trains from the UK to the Riviera. You'll need to change trains. This may be at Lille (fairly easy) or Paris (needing cross Paris transfer between stations).

If you are travelling during the summer you can take a direct train from london to avignon and change their for the short jaunt to the coast. Otherwise change in Lille or Paris.

I would not fly.

Book direct on Eurostar.
