train or bus
Please or thank you.
train is faster
Train may be faster once you get to Paddington, but coach goes from Victoria Coach Station. National Express coaches can also be quite cheap if booked in advance and a coach can be easier if you have luggage.
thank you I will take the bus
Just so you are clear, Victoria coach station is about seven or eight minutes walk along Buckingham Palace Road from the train station. If you were to ask for the bus station you might be directed to the place where all the London buses wait in front of the railway station! A long distance bus in the UK is usually referred to as a coach.

A student friend of mine just got himself a ticket on the coach from Victoria to Bath Spa for £5! Other tickets are £7. If you are on a budget and you're near Victoria Coach Station anyway it's worth considering. It's a bit longer than the train, but not much by the time you've made your way to Paddington, and the coach is quite comfy.
thank you, will look for coach station
