Any nice traditional pubs in The City open on Sundays?

I had forgotten until I just checked that many are closed at weekends and I was hoping to pop into a couple of pubs around St Pauls/ Fleet Street area this weekend.

All suggestions welcome (apart from that one!)

Head over to The Blackfriar pub, just off New Bridge Street across from Blackfriars station. It's a great arts and crafts era pub and the food is good too. They have an outdoor patio as well if you'd rather eat and drink outside.

The Lord Raglan, just up the road from St Paul's (near the Museum of London) is normally open on Sundays.

The Tipperary is open at weekends and serves excellent roast meals on Sundays

The Olde Watling next to St Paul's Cathedral is a genuine 17th century pub and is excellent.

The landlord and his wife moved into it in early 1666, got everything just how they liked it, and then it burned down in the Great Fire of London in the same year :-)

AND IF YOU'RE GOING TO SEVERAL NICHOLSON's pubs then you could go on their "Ale Trail" for a free souvenir T-shirt.

Avoid the punchtavern, been there for a xmas meal, they were horrible, they totally overcharged for the meal and it was not that great at all!

I've no idea why Nicholsons get such a good press : dreary chain set up, no locals, bought in food - yet lacking the cheap prices of Wetherspoons.

Sara - you can do better. Try here : fancyapint.com/Pub/london/the-seven-stars/192
