Heathrow to Russel Sq. tube station

Arriving HeathrownT5. Russel Square tube station 5 minute walk to our rental flat. Is this managable with 2 carry on suitcases( will fit in over head bins ) and two carry-ons that fit under seats.

Russell Square station has one flight of steps up from the platforms, then a lift to street level.

Depending on where you are staying, it might be easier to go one stop further to Kings Cross St Pancras, which has step-free access.

We're staying in a flat on Handle St. Think it's about a 5 minute walk from Russell Square Tube. Not sure how far from KingsX - maybe a 10 -15 minute walk, We will each have a roll carry on and a smaller backpack/ travel bag. Also debating if getting a car to pick us up at airport is a good option due to jet lag. Thanks for any info.

It's 20 stairs up from the platform to the lift, which is only about 7 feet in elevation.

One issue is that one of the two lifts is out of action for planned repairs, so there could be a wait and a queue to use the one working. So with that in mind either Holborn (20 stairs then 2 escalators) or Kings Cross St. Pancras (escalator only) may be better, depending on the exact location of your flat.

Handel Street is not far off half way between Russell Square and Kings Cross St. Pancras, so you may find KX/STP to be better (it says 10 minute walk on Google Maps).

Given the choice between Russell Square and KX I think I'd choose the former, even with the stairs from the platform to the lift, as it's a quick walk (five minutes or less) to Handel Street.

Turn right out of Russell Square station and walk a minute to Brunswick Centre. You won't miss it, it's a large brutalist structure that has been refurbished to be far more attractive than it was when it was first built. You may walk through the open area between the two sides of the square, and turn right to leave it before you reach Waitrose. Handel Street is just behind Waitrose, at the junction with Hunter Street.
