Cheap fashion shopping in London

Hi guys. I was wondering what shops to are good to go in London for latest fashion but at a reasonable price? Like TOP SHOP clothes etc but cheaper than that. Like in America they have forever 21 - what kind of similar shops are in London? Thank you in advance for your help 

Forever 21 engages in the classic American-chain scam of charging twice their US prices in Britain then whingeing about the cost of operating here - even though they pay nothing like the amount of import duty to bring their clothes into Britain that they fork out to bring them into the US.

This isn't a problem affecting Primark or H&M, who dramatically undercut their ripoff US competitors in their UK stores, offer a far wider range of more up to the nanosecond clothes and still make money.

Topshop, however, does follow Forever 21's example in charging premium prices when operating in foreign countries - but it's not an expensive chain in Britain. Though it does offer a wide range which can involve some high prices, it also competes effectively with Primark and H&M at the lower end

In reality, the hourly swings in relative competitiveness along Oxford Street and Regent St usually make it more sensible to walk along and judge for yourself than look for advice on a website.

As of August 25, Europe's real cheap fashion at low prices leader appears to be becoming supermarket chain Lidl - though there may not be branches convenient to you, and they'll probably have sold out of their most publicised pieces by the time you track one down. They don't sell online.

I have visited Australia several times and it seems that most if not all clothing stores there are super expensive so uk prices may be a welcome relief, even with the exchange rate. If you want more upscale discount prices there are a couple of TK maxx stores that sell discounted department store merchandise. Also- check for river island.

Try Leather Lane Street market (Chancery Lane tube); Wentworth St (Aldgate East) - much frequented by City women seeking baragains, Mon-Fri 11-2; Walthamstow High St market (Thur-Fri-Sat all day). Lots of chain store "overs", some with labels cut out, at bargain prices

Primark's prices may be cheap but their stores are generally a mess. Bit like shopping in a jumble sale with clothes on the floor and clothes unfolded dumped on display stands. Also watch the sizing as their sizes can be a bit on the small size. The only one that I have found that is tidy and reasonably pleasant was in Manchester. If the one in Oxford Street is like the one in Birmingham then it will be packed which can be an unpleasant shopping experience.

Are shops like Primark, etc in and around Oxford Street a bit quieter first thing in the morning or are they very busy right from when the doors open until they close? It would be good to know if there was a "best" time to visit.

Have a look at Primark, Matalan, New Look and TK Maxx. In Fonthill Road there are loads of clothes shops which belong to warehouses, but also sell to the public. Nearest tube station Finsbury Park. Spitalfields market has some good things. As already mentioned, you can also try some of the street markets.
