Nearest tube station to Brick Lane Beigel Bake

Can anyone tell me which is the nearest tube station to go to Brick Lane Beigel Bake? Shoreditch High Street? Is the area safe at night? Thank you very much!

It's walkable from both Aldgate East and Liverpool St.

It's safe at night, just be aware of whats going on around you.

very close to shoreditch high street overground station (not a tube station) and a number of bus routes. from shoreditch station exit to your left then right on the main street...walk to the end of this road and then turn left on brick lane...beigal shop is a short walk on your left (there's 2 together!)

5 min walk from Liverpool St, Aldgate, Algate East (underground) and Shoreditch High St (overground). The area is safe, and usually very busy Thurs - Sat evenings as there area a load of bars and restaurants around

@YannBerry -- you must be a fast walker! The beigel bake is about 3/4 mile from Liverpool Street station, so getting there in 5 minutes would involve some serious running (and probably getting run over as you would not have time to stop for crossing roads). I would say it's more like a 15 minute walk from Liverpool Street. Similar distance/time from Aldgate East.

Some ways of getting there involve walking down alley ways/narrow streets that are objectively fairly safe but may feel less so. Use common sense and you should be fine.

Best bet is to get the 8 or 388 bus and get off at the Brick Lane stop. The Biegel shop is almost directly opposite the bar "Casa Blue" on the corner.

@rbgs no way! It's 12 minutes on Google maps which means 6 minutes (it always takes me half the time to walk anywhere than Google maps says) Promise! I'm a Brick Lane regular. It's 12 minutes if you're lost or walking backwards :)
