Rail time from London to Berlin

Hello all,

I will be travelling to Europe for the first time this June, going to London-Paris-Amsterdam-Berlin. The problem is that Berlin is the last city I'm visiting but I fly out of London. My question is how much time I should allow myself to travel by rail from Berlin to London. I was hoping one full day would be enough. spend the night in London and fly home the next day. Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi Rhys.

Have a look at an amazing labour of love www.seat61.com

It tells you how to almost anywhere by train in Europe. A journey from Berlin to London via Cologne and Brussels would take less than 12 hours and sounds remarkably easy. Even time for a beer or two before bed!!
