I've not been to Royal China but loved both Hakkasan and Yauatcha, they're both pretty pricey though.

Royal China, especially the Bayswater branch, is fantastic and half the price of the other options. But you can't book and queues can be as long as 90 minutes.

it would be yauatcha for me ...been many times always great, funky downstairs or minimalist tea room on street level(you can still eat dim sum in the tea room plus lovely jewel like cakes

Yauatcha probably has the best dim sum in London, to go with its Michelin star, but it's definitely pricier. The tea-based cocktails are something to behold.
