FSM's Itinerary ~ As Per Request By Wildmom

Since my itinerary for my upcoming trip has been requested by Wildmom and oth30 January - Tuesday:

Arrive LHR, spending day with Adam. I'm planning on seeing a "pile of Di's dresses" at Kensington Palace and wandering around Ken/Notting Hill/who know where? Probably British Library too. And hanging out with Pbak after work.

31 January - Wednesday

Walking the South Bank with Mick (even though he'll be jetlagged....we'll keep him hopping) seeing all the great stuff there, maybe the London Eye, the Globe, etc. including the Market Porter and the George Inn. And later - Museum of London and Shopping for groceries.

1 January - Thursday

Hoping I get to do "Mick's Ultimate London Pub Crawl" and then the tea at the Lanesborough (oh my)

PLUS a Super Secret Spectacular Incredible Special Sightseeing Extravaganza that I will reveal at the Lamb on Friday night, something that no Nebraskan has done before I'm sure.

2 February - Friday

Sightseeing all day in St Albans

Lamb Pub Meet at 7ish?

3 February - Saturday

GO 'ORNS....BEAT BOLTON!!!! Watford...Watford...Watford...YELLOW ARMY!!

4 February - Sunday

Don't know yet

5 February - Monday

Up early and to set off for York!!! Plan on getting there late morning! YEA!

6 February - Tuesday

Meeting up with anemone and going to Fountains Abbey for tea and light refreshments!!! Gee, I sound just like Hyacinth Bucket!

7 February - Wednesday

Off to Edinburgh on the train....meeting up with Shaker....wreaking havoc on the unsuspecting Scottish citizens

Pub Meet and/or Whisky Tasting that evening with UncleGus & Co.

8 February - Thursday

Shaker, Jim & I driving off to Stirling

Meeting with Emelda & others in Stirling for evening meal & conversation

9 February - Friday

Shaker goes home (if he's still standing)

We'll still be in Edinburgh for one last night - no plans yet

10 February - Saturday

Back to London on the train

11 February - Sunday

Day out with GilliganUK and touring of Guildford!!

12 February - Monday

Might go to Hampton Court

13 February - Tuesday

it's Jim's 50th B-day - so pub meet with Pbak & Henneth for sure!!

FullSailMom~

looks like a great time! Let us know what you think about Di's dress collection ~ it wasn't exactly what I was expecting...but maybe my expectations were wrong.....

life has been hectic - am hoping to finish up our trip report soon - (long story - but wish I was back in London on vacation! ha!)

Hey Irish!

I can't wait to read your trip report! And I've always wanted to see Di's dresses, so I'll be interested to see them.

Did you do tea at the Orangery? Adam said maybe we'll do that too.

And thanks Lee, I can't wait....less than two weeks now!!

Wow, your itinerary looks fantastic. Have you met all your forum friends before, or will it be a first for some?

I find this whole internet quite incredible, I met people who I'd corresponded with on a different forum a while back, they came from New York, I took them to lunch, and it was just wonderful to actually meet face to face.

I loved York, only been there once and didn't spend enough time either there or in Edinburgh, so I really enjoy you.

Have a great time.

hey FullSailMom~

no, we didn't eat at the Orangery (MY choice, but my college-age companions were not impressed) - we ate at The Goat just down the street, which was quite good -

we did love Kensington Palace though ~ The Kings Staircase was my favorite.....

Sounds wonderful -- busy, but all such fun!

I've had to postpone my intended Feb UK trip and am opting for a long weekend in New Bern, NC -- not quite the same, but it will give me the opportunityy to read of your adventures.

I've been wanting to vist St. Albans for a few years now, but something always disrupts my plans. I'd love to hear what you think of it.

Just 2 weeks to go.
