We went a few years ago with our two boys and we all enjoyed it. Suppose it depends on what your expectaions are. it really is for kids but not younger children.

We've been a couple of times and it is a decent attraction. Not as big as the London one but that is hardly surprising.

Still a good way to kill a couple of hours if the weather means you can't explore the city.

I actually really like it - its a bit more expensive than the other attractions but its very entertaining, the actors are brilliant and its a good does of atmosphere. In stark contrast to a lot of the dry museums York has now

Hard to answer your question. I quite liked it. I know people who hate it. I thought it was funny or gruesome mostly rather than scary. Young kids might have nightmares thougth.

I think York dungeons has smells aswell, my friends 13 year old threw up everywhere and had to be escorted out!! She was mortified and the staff said it happens quite regularly. She didnt get far enough in to tell me what it was like....Sorry
