Floods

We've booked to come and stay in York next week for my 30th birthday. We did an Internet offer (therefore non-refundable) to stay at the Lady Anne Middleton hotel before we realised that the river has burst it's banks. This hotel is next to the river so I'm slightly concerned about the flooding. Does anyone know just how bad it is?

Flood waters going down, and the hotel is a little way from the river so not relay affected to bad apart from the fact you might not(when flooded) be able to access from Skeldergate. York is open for business, dont let a little water put you off. Theres lots to do away from the floods, and by the time you get here the floods will hopefully be gone(just fields flooded). Enjoy your trip, and if you want to know anything else just ask!

Thank you :-)

We're planning on doing the usual touristy stuff but if you have any recommendations on places to eat or other ideas that we might not have heard about that would be great!

Looking forward to our visit now!!
