This is in Lincolnshire, beautiful places to stay in, huge lakes lots of water sports, kids clubs etc at a fraction of the price.

Agree that Center Parcs has got really expensive, I can't think of any real equivalents that we have used. Tend to go to seaside caravan sites like Haven up on the North Yorkshire coast instead. Not the same really, but the leisure facilities have had money spent on them, and much, much cheaper. But the pools are nowhere near as good as Center Parcs - real shame how it has got so busy there from reports I have heard

It's a while since I did a Centreparcs, so I am a bit hazy about the swimming pool zone.

If you just want a pool with a wave machine and a couple of waterslides then Bluestone near Tenby in Wales will tick the boxes. Accommodation is in houses and bungalows around an estate with a pub and restaurant area and spa. The rates can be good outside the main school holidays. We're going back there in a couple of weeks.

(Possibly) further down the price range, Butlins has been sprucing up a few places by upgrading rooms and adding waterparks. There is one (re)opening in Skegness butlins.com/where-to-stay-dine-and-play/our-…

Definitely Bluestone. Great quality, Alot quieter , 40% cheaper. But quieter means less activities especially Off-Peak. Check their website bluestonewales . Its in Pembrokeshire
