Oxford to Bleinheim, best way to go.

I´ll stay in Oxford for 2 days and I´d like to visit the Bleinheim Palace, how is the best way to go there, by bus or train? and how far is from Oxford?

Thank very much

It's a 30 minute bus journey, more or less every 30 minutes from Oxford railway station, Oxford bus station and a couple of other central Oxford bus stops.

The railway line closed in 1957.

It's the S3 bus, and it runs about every half hour up the Woodstock Road from Debenhams.

Dear NorthofDC,

Thank very much your attention.

I made a reservation in a hotel near the train and bus station in Oxford.

It´s the Royal Oxford Hotel.

I think it´ll be easy to take the bus.

To get around most of Oxford I usually take the Oxford Bus Company buses, because they go more places and run more often. A 24-hour ticket was GBP 3.70 last year. They are the ones without the S in front (other than to Blenheim Palace, which only Stagecoach buses go to). But Stagecoach is certainly a reasonable bus company; there just aren't universal 24-hour tickets, I don't believe.

I know you will enjoy your trip!
