Food fair - May or September?

Having planned to visit the food fair I have realised that there are two a year. Is there any difference between the two in terms of provision and atmosphere? This will be my first visit to Shropshire and plan to make it a small break to do some sightseeing in the area too. Guess would need planning a few months ahead to secure accommodation etc.

The one in September is bigger and includes a beer trail and a sausage trail. Accommodation book asap

Oh thank you that's good to know.

Left too late for this year so will plan for 2015 then.

Absolutely marvellous so far thank you chrischamb! We have spent 2 great nights in Shrewsbury. What a lovely town with fab boat trip and the jail tour too! Now in Ironbridge and discovering the wonders of clay pipes, cast iron and pubs! Wonderful so far thank you. Ludlow on Thursday for 2 nights.

Just wondering how easy it will be to eat out in pubs on Friday night of Ludlow food fair or do we need to book somewhere? We only eat earlyish at casual pub/bistro type fair in town. We are staying at Charlton Arms for 2 nights so provisionally booked there each night. Assuming it's close to Ludlow centre where else please? Many thanks
