Travel from Somerset to Cornwall or Devon

We are flying into Bristol and going to Somerset for a friend's wedding and then heading down to Cornwall and/or Devon. How long of a drive is this approximately?

Thanks!

Do you mean from Bristol Airport to wherever you're going in Somerset, or from wherever it is in Somerset to Cornwall - or Devon to Cornwall?

Can you give your destinations otherwise can only give very vague advice? Also are you intending to go by the largest main roads and direct route or stopping off at places?

Also depends on how fast you drive.

Here's a mileage calculator if that will help - maps.inboxtoolbar.com

As suebovington says we can give you clearer advice if we know when you're going to/from, but as an example Taunton to Truro takes about 2hrs 20 on a good day.

Sorry I realise I was being a bit vague but only because I don't know where to go in cornwall! We are driving from Somerset to maybe St Ives?

Thanks!

As an example,

Taunton, Somerset to St Ives, Cornwall - Fastest route (A30) gives 2hr 39 mins.

As mentioned above, the timings depend on what time of year/day you'll be travelling but it's good enough for to give you a rough idea.

Go to Google maps UK, click on 'Get directions'... insert various towns... play about with it and investigate various routes at your leisure. (You can drag the blue line of the suggested route so that it passes through different towns and thus vary the journey).

Just had a play with that Blorengia. Good fun and may use it for my days out. Not very up to date though with locations and petrol prices! But very good for travelling from place to place.

But whereabouts in Somerset is the wedding? there is all the difference in the world between Clevedon and Wellington (and not just in time to Cornwall).

The AA route planner is excellent
