Depends what you want really! Both are on busy roads - and 139 is just off the town centre whereas Tasburgh is a bit further out (although would have a lovely walk in along the canal).

For a girls weekend - do you want to be more 'out in the countryside' - or walking distance of restaurants/cafes/shops/sights etc?

Is parking a car important - or will you visit by train?

Tasburgh seems very 'traditional' whereas 139 is much more contemporary - havent stayed at either but I do know the locations.

Have you looked at 3 Abbey Green or The Townhouse? Even though they are 'in town' they are not on busy roads.

Thank you for your reply--We will be traveling by car as my girlfriend lives in Surrey and I am from the US---We would love to be walking distance from shops, dining if possible. Just want a really nice place to visit and relax as we only see each other once a year.
