Hotel in Bath to celebrate husband's 40th birthday

Early May I will be in Bath to celebrate my husbands 40th birthday. Any hotel/B&B recommendations? Budget not a concern. Ideally it would be within walking distance to town. We will have a car as well. Again if looking for the perfect place it would have a whirlpool tub as well.

Any suggestions?

This might fit the bill, it's less than 10 minutes walk from town (and a very grand walk).

The bath Spa is a great suggestion (I am getting married there this weekend in fact!). Another great hotel with some parking, but not as much as the Bath Spa, is The Bath Priory;

Hope you have a great trip!

Hi

I've not looked at reviews recently, but the obvious place to go splurge is the Royal Crescent Hotel.

I've given you a link to their Spa (but you can trim it back).

I think the Priory has a better reputation for food, though.

NB I am assuming that you are visiting without the children (if not, I can think of some child friendly places further afield)

The Paradise House in Bath(up the hill from the train station) was very nice. A nice walk to the center of town. Great views. Breakfast was very good.

There is a nice little siting room/lounge that is a great place for a bottle of wine. Rooms are all a little different, but nice.Not a 5 star place but very enjoyable. Not sure about the whirlpools.

I would also suggest the Bath Spa Hotel if budget isn't an issue. I've stayed there many times and I think it is the best chain hotel in Bath. It has a wonderful spa, is in a lovely building, the staff are friendly and attentive and the food is good. I hope you have alovely time.

You may like to check the reviews on the Bath Spa before you book there...

The Priory and The Residence are both within walking distance of the city centre but you may like to get a cab back. Both of these places have private parking. There is also The Queensberry Hotel which has valet parking, beautiful rooms and is an easy walk into town. Have a great weekend.

the Bath Spa is not in the same league as the Priory. I would choose that first. Even though i only live round the corner from it, I'm celebrating my wedding anniversary there, as it's superb!
