Possibly the Hop Pole opposite Victoria Park. They serve food, but can't remember if they will serve it in the garden.

Same with the Royal Oak in Widcombe, which is a short walk from the centre of Bath.

The Cross Guns in Avoncliff will definately serve your food in the garden.

As will the Lock Inn in Bradford on Avon.

Personally, I would recommend the Lock Inn which is about a 25/30 minute drive from Bath.

Perhaps one of the loveliest Inns and locations in England.

Garden at rear overlooks the village church and cricket pitch below and in a landscape setting.

Only 6 miles from Bath.

(If staying in Bath it is on the regular 267 bus route from the bus station if you want to hire a chauffeur.

A very pleasant drive.

There's another George Inn in Bathampton.

Doesn't get very good reviews as it can take ages to get served, but it's a nice location.

Last time I ate at the Geroge in Bathampton it was pants. It is part of Chef and Brewer, with all that implies.

The White Hart at Widcombe has a pretty meditteranean style garden and lovely food.

There is the Crystal Palace in the centre of Bath I have not eaten there myself but they have a secret garden.

I have eaten at the George inn Bathampton and I am not a fan.

OPA in bath by the canal is nice if you like Greek food.

Also in Bathampton and in a much prettier setting by the weir and toll bridge is Bathampton Weir. It was very busy last night . Bath Ales (Gem) was on tap. The food looked okay (my friends were enjoying it), but food is only delivered as far as the tables on the decking and indoors after 6pm.

You can get the Pulteney Princess up from Pulteney Weir and maybe walk off your meal along the canal back into town (think it takes about 45 minutes).

Have a look online to see whether the Hare & Hounds on Lansdown Hill is getting good reviews. I'venot been there since it was revamped by new owners. It is a great location on a hot day.

The Marlborough Tavern has a nice garden and serves gourment type food which is usually good, though not cheap. It has a nice vibe and the staff are very friendly
