Bars in Guildford

Hello

I am thinking of travelling up to Guildford for the day with the girls, and just wondered where would be best to go - where all the bars / restaurants are? Also, are they all in one place and near the trainstation?

Thanks

You could start somewhere like The Tickled Ivory piano bar, which is a very easy walk across Bridge Street from the station. There are lots of other bars in the immediate area. Then work your way up the High Street. Cote Brasserie is a good, modestly-priced restaurant if you like French Bistro food. (Down Chapel St, opposite Boots) Can be full, so book for a group, or be prepared to wait for a table.

Guildford is a university town, so there are lot of establishments catering for students. You might want to reveal the age of "the girls" to get more targeted advice.
