4 nights in Stratford?

Hi, we have booked 4 nights in Stratford upon Avon. Can anyone recommend any must-see places to visit, whether in town or a short drive away? Really looking forward to visiting so any input would be greatly appreciated!

There are the obvious Shakespeare related things to do (birthplace, theatres etc) and then if you want to travel a bit further afield why not try a trip to Bourton on the Water, Kenilworth Castle is nicer than warwick castle especially if you want the historical aspect. There are various national trust properties in the area too (Baddesley Clinton, Packwood House, Charlecote Park). Coventry transport museum is pretty good too.

You have got all of the Shakespeare houses and as you are around for 4 days you can get a ticket for all 4 which is cheaper than paying for each individually. (It's a push to do them all in a day!) However many people miss going to see Shakespeare's final resting place in Holy Trinity Church - it's only £2 to go to the area where the family graves are at the back of the church, the church is beautiful and the volunteer guides are very knowledgable. I can't recommend this highly enough!

If you are driving its very easy to get to the Cotswolds if you want to go further afield.

Stratford Upon Avon is right on the edge of the Cotswolds, one of the most beautiful places in the UK.

Loads of things to see and do in the Cotswolds

You havent mentioned what prompted you to stay in Stratford? - do you have a particular interest in Shakespeare ? there are many interesting places surrounding the town - depending on any preferences you have to maybe historic houses, gardens, shopping etc, - also what days of the week are you in town - ie. markets

if the weather is good, it is lovely down by the theatre and gardens, - a nice place to simply chill out - hire a row boat, or maybe have a pic-nic & watch the world go by!
