Train day trip fr London to Stratford / Kenilworth Castle?

HI, is it possible to take a train from London to visit Stratford -upon-Avon and also either/or Kenilworth Castle and Warwick Castle? Would you know which rail service to use? Thank you!

There is a direct service from London Marylebone to Stratford Upon Avon, operated by Chiltern Railways. Takes about 2 hours. Some but not all trains stop at Warwick. Warwick Castle is walkable from Warwick station, about 10 to 15 minutes.

I'd visit Warwick Castle over Kenilworth Castle, much more to see and a much more intact castle.

Should add that if looking at trains that stop at Warwick, you ideally want Warwick and not Warwick Parkway - Parkway is some way out of the town, still doable but probably more than a 30 minute walk unless you are a very fast walker, it's about 2 miles.

A taxi from Parkway to the Castle probably would not cost much though. So you could use if the train times suited you better.

If you buy the super off-peak return London - Stratford-upon-Avon (£28.90 adult, discounts for children under 16 and groups of three or more) you may travel on any train after 09.00 Monday-Friday, or at any time on Saturday and Sunday, returning by any train the same day. You may break your journey at Warwick (or anywhere else for that matter) on the outward or return journey.

There is an 09.10 departure to Warwick and Stratford-upon-Avon most days.

Trains from London Marylebone to Warwick and Stratford-upon-Avon are operated by Chiltern Railways. No need to book in advance (seats are not reservable anyway).
