Castle Parking & town

We are visiting Warwick Castle next week & will be using their car park. Does anyone know if it will be possible to leave the car there after we've visited the castle whilst we walk into the main bit of the town to have something to eat & then return to collect the car? (within their opening hours, obviously). Thank y ou, Tabby.

Yes, it's a pay-and-display car park so you can leave your car there for the whole day. If you plan to get to the castle early, you should be able to park in the Stables car park (which is off Castle Lane and much closer to the shops and restaurants) rather than the main car park off the Stratford Road.

Oh no, not you! I didn't realise you lived up there or I would have gone somewhere else! (TeeHee!). We didn't stay in Warwick we stayed in Stratford but drove onto Stratford on the last day b/c he wanted to see the Castle. Tabs.

If you don't arrive soon after the castle opening there can be a 30min + walk from the car park on busy days, if you are lucky to get in but it is probably quicker to park at St Nicholas Park. You can park all day at the castle it costs £4 and you need to remember to buy your token from the machine by the castle courtyard before walking down to your car so you can exit the car park with it. That is the only location of the machines.

Thank you to everybody (except for BigMart & his terrible jokes!). In the end we parked in the Linen St carpark, strolled through the town, spent a lot of enjoyable hours at the Castle, walked around the town some more, had something to eat & got out of the car park before 8pm which is when it closes I believe. Not sure if that was the cheapest parking option, but it worked very well for us & we had a 2-4-1 voucher for the Castle so saved on that. We both thought Warwick was a lovely place & somewhere we would like to spend more time in. Tabby
