Daytrip tour to Cotswold from Birmingham ?

Hi all !

I will be in Birmingham in October, and I always wanted to see the Cotswolds.

Are there any good day-trip to Cotswolds departing from Birmingham on Saturdays or Sundays?

Thanks !

Not aware of any trips leaving from Birmingham - may be best getting the train out to somewhere like Stratford (takes about 45 minutes) as there are buses and some coaches that run from there. Best off going for Saturday though.

If possible, its worth hiring a car - you'll cover more of the villages that way and can dictate your own timetable.

You can get to Moreton-in-Marsh by train. Get on a Birmingham New Street, then change at Worcester. Only problem is that it takes about 2 hours. Once in Moreton there are buses (except Sundays) that go to Stow-on-the-Wold & Chipping Campden.

Nice places to visit include Lower Slaughter, Stow-on-the-Wold, Burford & Painswick.

Alternatively, you could go on a customised tour:

The Cotswolds really is a beautiful district and well worth the effort of visiting.
