City Centre Restaurants

We are coming to Birmingham in a few weeks for my wifes graduation ceremony at the symphony hall, we are also staying nearby on a Wednesday and Thursday night.

We are 40 ish to 50 ish and are looking for a good restaurant to celebrate.

Must be in walking distance from symphony hall area.

Likes in order Indian, Bangladeshi, English, French etc anything else with Italian last.

Any recommendations please?

Well since you'll be celebrating I'd recommend Shimla Pinks. It's more of a high end Indian restaurant but then you'll get high end quality food. What's more you'll both want a venue you can build memories on rather than an OK Indian restaurant. And yes, it's within walking distance.

Oh I forgot (yet to go there myself) there's also Marco Pierre White's new restaurant at the Cube. Apparently it provides a splendid view over the city.

If you can get a booking.

I gather it is very popular and hard to get a table.

MPW is very good but not if you have any vegetarians/special dietary requirements in your group. you can book online and the views are stunning.

Looking forward to another great couple of nights out in Brum.

Quite partial to the real ale pubs so will be going to the Wellington as well, great pub.
