Breakfast near Malmaison

Staying at Malmaison this Friday on a room only basis and heading to the NT Back to Backs first thing Saturday morning - can anyone suggest a nice breakfast option close to either or in between the two? Not neccessarily a full english just bacon sarnies etc would be good!

Malmasion is situated in the Mailbox complex if you head to the top floor where restaurants are located there's a cafe that I'm sure does things like sandwiches etc... If not there's a whole host of restaurants so sure you'd find something!

Café Blend is just across the street from your hotel http://cafeblend.co.uk/food

If you wanted something more substantial – all you can eat breakfast at Colmore Bar and Grill at £8.25 per person. It’s not really on the way from your hotel but it’s only a few minutes’ walk from where you want to be http://www.colmorebarandgrill.co.uk/index.php

Out by the canal in The Mailbox – try Cote.

The Green Room on Hurst Street (recently changed its name back to the original but was called the Coffee Room for a number of years) serves breakfast from 10am. It is opposite the Back to Backs and a really nice place.

The Dragon Inn is a Wetherspoons pub just over the road from the Back to Backs, it opens at 8.00 a.m. and does plenty of cheap and cheerful breakfast options, and ok coffee. Have been a couple of times for early brunch before matinees at the Hippodrome , very pleasant service and Wetherspoons prices.

Here's a pretty good list of breakfast cafes in the city: grapevinebirmingham.com/eventcategory/…

If you're looking for a bacon sarnie, the Victorian Tea Rooms do traditional breakfasts, a bit on the cheap side maybe and probably too far away.

But I think this is what you're looking for: beerintheevening.com/pubs/…Birmingham Have eaten here a few times, breakfast, soups, etc really lovely and small quaint setting on canal just other side of Mailbox.

Forgot to say, last time we ate at Canalside they didn't accept cards so cash only? This may have changed and call in advance ti make sure they're open early enough.

The green room does nice breakfasts, or possibly browns at the bottom of the bullring.
