Best view in Birmingham/surrounding areas

As the title says, I'm looking for splendid views! Preferably high places, in parks/woodland, in Birmingham or surrounding areas. Peaceful places where I can look out over the whole city. Thanks.

Lickey hills in the Rubery area would be a good option :)

>>>The one in the rear view mirror...?

Another negative comment from somebody who probably has not been to Birmingham but still spreads the historic negative comments about Birmingham.

Couple of photos below to show how nice Birmingham can be

I agree, Gilbert, Birmingham's nowhere near as bad as some make out.

A few miles out of Birmingham you'll find the Clent Hills, which are very beautiful. And some nice pubs in the nearby village of Romsley if you want to stop for lunch.

If u do decide to stay in the city itself, there is the Hyatt Regency Hotel with floor to ceiling windows and views of the city or the canals. Also there is the Radisson Blu Hotel which again has floor to ceiling windows. Both in a central location in the city.Enjoy ur time in this area. It's a great place to visit despite what sum ignorant people think....

I agree about Clent Hills, there are some lovely views from there. As for the rear view mirror comment, what is it about negative comments usually coming from Londoners? If you've nothing constructive to say, then don't say it ( and don't tell me that was constructive please)

Yeh it was a flippant comment but I have been to Birmingham, 3-4 times, am not just making it up on spec. I genuinely don't find it a remotely attractive city.

And for those asking/observing why it is always Londoners making such comments - it's because by comparison the two cities are chalk and cheese when it comes to beauty.

David

I agree ,,for YOU the best view of Birmingham is your rear view mirror !!! That kind of negativity has no place here.

Good luck
